Randy Sharp is director of special projects for American Family Association, a pro-family advocacy organization with over two million online supporters. He also serves as a contributing writer for the AFA Journal, the ministry's monthly publication with approximately 150,000 subscribers.

As director of special projects, Randy manages AFA's online activism web sites, including OneMillionMoms.com and OneMillionDads.com through which parents can voice their concerns over indecent broadcast programming. Through AFA's online entities, AFA rallies hundreds of thousands of Christian activists to contact companies and ask that they drop their advertising from objectionable TV shows. Companies that responded positively in 2004 include Hasbro, SC Johnson, Tyson Foods, Lowe's, Geico, Best Buy, Foot Locker, Finish Line, Cellboost, Nissan, Goodyear, LeapFrog, Castrol, Ocean Spray, Nextel and Dodge.

Randy writes and speaks on issues including decency in broadcasting, responsible corporate advertising and pornography.

As a media spokesperson, Randy has appeared on programs including CNN's NewsNight, Lou Dobbs Tonight, Anderson Cooper 360 and Wolf Blitzer Reports; Fox News' Hannity & Colmes; ABC's World News Tonight; and MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann. He has written guest editorials for USA Today and has been quoted by major publications including Advertising Age, Mediaweek, The New York Times, The Washington Times, Chicago Tribune and USA Today. He is also frequently quoted by Family News in Focus, WorldNetDaily, SRN News and USA Radio News, in addition to being a guest on numerous national radio programs such as NPR.

In May, 2006, Randy received a special invitation from the White House to attend President Bush's signing of the Broadcast Decency Act, for his instrumental work in passing legislation that increases fines to broadcasters who air indecency.

Randy is a past host of the weekly radio program Northeast Arkansas Issues. He is the former president of Craighead County Citizens for Decency and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He is also a Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 85 in Tupelo.  Randy and his wife Donna have three children.
