1.  National Survey Shows Strength of a Conservative Supreme Court Nominee
    A recent national survey commissioned by American Values and the American Family Association finds that voters favor a “more conservative” - over a “more liberal” - U.S. Supreme Court by 50.3 percent to 30.5 percent. Majorities of survey respondents also indicated that they disapprove of a number of the high court’s most liberal decisions.

2.  President nominates Roberts for Supreme Court
    President Bush nominated John G. Roberts, Jr. yesterday to fill the vacancy on the high court created by Justice Sandra Day O’Connor’s recent resignation. Mr. Bush said Judge Robert will "strictly apply the Constitution and laws -- not legislate from the bench."
