2.  Connecticut legislature undermines marriage with civil unions
    After the approval of a Democrat-controlled Senate, Republican Connecticut Gov. M. Jodi Rell signed a civil union bill Wednesday that will offer all the privileges and rights of marriage to same-sex couples starting Oct. 1.

3.  P&G cleans up its act under pro-family pressure; AFA suspends boycott
    American Family Association (AFA) applauded their supporters and others from groups such as Focus on the Family today for a successful boycott of Procter & Gamble and announced AFA’s suspension of the boycott due to P&G apparently backing off its support for the homosexual agenda. AFA called the boycott in November 2004 and nearly 400,000 signed the pledge to boycott the corporation.

4.  Gay and lesbian network offers 24/7 homosexual programming on cable
    According to The New York Times on Monday, three major cable providers are buying into the launch of two new homosexual cable networks that will air all homosexual programming around the clock for the first time. Last week Comcast and Cox Communications agreed to offer the gay network Here, put out by Regent Entertainment, through their video-on-demand offerings, and Viacom will offer its own advertiser-supported gay and lesbian network, Logo, as a basic cable channel starting on June 30.

5.  Senate votes for taxpayers’ dollars to fund foreign abortions
    Despite a strong Republican Congress, the US Senate voted 52-46 on Tuesday in support of an amendment that will repeal the Mexico City policy thus allowing US taxpayers’ dollars to fund foreign organizations that perform or support abortions. However, the measure still must face the US House.

6.  Kansas joins 17 other states in overwhelming support of traditional marriage
    Kansas voters passed a marriage amendment on Tuesday to their state constitution banning same-sex marriage and civil unions. According to early AP reports, the unofficial results show 70 percent voting in favor of the amendment and 29 percent opposing it.
